It’s Not My Fight!

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.  The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace (Exodus 14:13-14).”

Amen!  I’m certainly willing to allow God to fight all of my battles.  I’d think we’d be tired of fighting on our own anyway.  Always good to have someone to fight for us, especially when we know the result with be a victory for us!  Thank you, Lord!  How many of us could actually stand still and hold our peace?  Most of us would like to be right in the middle of it, especially if we know the outcome will lean in our favor.  And hold our peace?  Oh my… Could we actually resist saying, “Take that!  And that!”  Hard work, indeed, for some of us to hold our peace, stand still and just ‘see’ the salvation of the Lord!  But if we want to assure ourselves of the victory, we need to follow His directive to the letter.  “Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left (Deut. 5:32).”

And remember, He’s always on time… so there’s no need to be fearful, believing He won’t show up and show off.  Of course, I’ve never seen Him show up early.  I can’t imagine saying, ‘Oh wow, God, I really didn’t even need the answer to this until the day after tomorrow.’  Not very likely.  But He steps in when we need Him most!  For this, I thank You, LORD!  So… “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Phil. 4:6).” -NIV

We do get in God’s way sometimes, huh…

Amen, God-sis! Such an on-time Word for this day, hour and time………. Handle it Lord! It’s not my fight!

  3. Beautiful post! This is one truth we often neglect; it’s not our fight. The one who makes a path through the sea and keeps the sun still for the sake of His chosen ones is doing our battles for us. Victory is certain!

  4. Amen! If he can do all of that, certainly He can handle our little battles. All we have to do is praise Him in the midst of it! Somebody said, “my praise puts pressure on my problems.” I believe it!
