Poison!

We know poison to be a substance that tends to destroy life or impair our health, or that which interrupts our well-being and has the unfortunate capacity to cause death as well. Indeed, we’ve been warned throughout our lives, no doubt, to stay away from poison. Yet, for some, the intrigue of the forbidden is the magnet that draws. Throwing caution to the wind, we can’t we wait to touch, taste, smell or otherwise handle the mysterious poisonous package.poison
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).” We must step away from the grip of sin and its ability to destroy our lives. “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness (Romans 6:16)?” Opt, instead, for a closer walk with God–a relationship and close fellowship that grants him Lordship over our lives. Let us continually cleanse ourselves with the Word of God, lest the dirt of the world little by little seizes the opportunity to creep in and attach itself and wreak havoc in our lives, ultimately causing our demise.
Many times when we’re involved in sin, we’re not necessarily conscious of who or how many people we hurt. We’re only concerned about ourselves and the pleasure WE derive from it. The sin that seems like so much fun at the time will eventually kill us if we don’t forsake it. A quick death, a slow death, the end result is death. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly (John 10:10).” Poison: keep out… That girl, boy, man, woman, relationship, friendship, job, habit…whatever it is, let it go and receive the abundant life that Christ gives. Take care and be blessed. Thanks for reading, following, subscribing, liking.

Amen, God-Sis! Sin will take you farther than you want to go and keep you longer than you want to stay! And after that, it will kill you!
