Friends on Facebook?

So… Jesus wants to be your friend on Facebook.  Will you “confirm” or “ignore” the request?  Or will you click “not now?”

Friend Request:  “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Rev. 3:20).”

Confirm:  “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (John 3:18).”

Ignore: For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and [in his] Father’s, and of the holy angels (Luke 9:26).”

Not Now:  “While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation (Heb. 3:15).”

If you allow Him to be your friend, will you need to “clean up your wall” first?  Or change some of  the “Pages” you “like?”  Would you need to “Block” Christ from seeing some of your ‘posts’ or  photos in your album? Would you be inclined to “Hide” some of your friends’ posts or hide these friends completely?  How about your availability for “chat?”  Would you allow Christ to see that you’re “available?”  Or would you quickly log off if He wanted to talk to you?  Would you need to change your “Privacy Settings?”  Or would He merit ‘all access?’  It might be interesting to see just what you would do if Jesus went on Facebook to request friendship with you.

This is a viewpoint and application I hadn’t thought of. Don’t know why I haven’t, but thankfully He could have “all access” without a problem. I won’t think of Facebook the same way again now. Thank you for your perspective.
