Separate My Christianity?

Separate my Christianity?  GBY to those who are able to do so but for the life of me I can’t seem to understand how that would be possible.  As a values voter, I vote for the values that line up most closely with my world view.  Whether you’re a Democrat because you feel it is the more compassionate party that favors the little people or Republican because of its conservative views and push for a smaller government, most tend to vote based on where they are in life, their family values, etc.  Lately, (at the time of our most recent presidential election), I’d been hearing a lot of , “I’m voting for the lesser of two evils” and “I don’t mix politics with my Christianity.”  OK.  I must say that I bring “my Christianity” into all that I do.    When I’m at work, I don’t check it at the door.  If I were able to separate my separateChristianity, I’d probably be tempted and inclined to take a few pens, markers and tablets from the office without permission.  I’d grab a few extra USB sticks as well,  enjoy frequent 2-hour lunches and add another 30 miles to my mileage expenses.  But it is because I can’t separate my Christianity that I make the effort to give my best even when I’m not feeling my best.  I bring it into all that I do… I don’t check it in traffic when people are cutting me off (threading the needle)… or I’d probably give them a not-so-holy salute.  I don’t check it at the grocery store or Target when every line I enter moves twice as slow as the next person’s… or I’d probably start ranting, raving, and going “postal” (no disrespect…my parents retired from there so I love the PO).  “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still (Rev. 22:11).”  I’m IN Christ and I’m a new creation (creature).  Be who you are… otherwise, it costs all of us…  Thanks for visiting, following, subscribing…  Take care & be blessed.

Amen to your blog God-Sis and Amen to Romans 8:38-39! It’s Christianity all the way or no way… I choose all the way with Christ Jesus!
