What’s Really Goin’ On?

“And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it (Job 1:7).”  Clearly, the enemy is not resting but is seeking us out.  Unfortunately, many of us are not conscious of this fact.  We think we’re “doing it my way” when we’re actually doing it the devil’s way.  We’re under the false assumption that the devil is our friend… like Eve in the garden.  It seems she, too, felt the serpent was her friend and that God was holding out, denying her of His very best.

We must understand that… “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).”  The enemy, Satan, simply will not be happy until you’re under his grip, completely embarrassed and utterly destroyed.  This is the destiny he has for each of us.  This why we’re instructed to, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: … (I Pet. 5:8).”  He’s on his job.  Therefore, we (the called out ones) must also get on ours.  Jesus had 12 disciples at one point… and one of them had the devil in him.  When we assemble, with more than 12, who’s to say that the devil isn’t also in one of us?  These are perilous times–the enemy used to wait right outside of the church and get into us as soon as we came out.  Now… he’s literally coming into our churches and snatching us out.  He knows his destiny is sealed and that he’s doomed.  To say that misery loves company would be an understatement; however, it is apparent that he intends to take as many as he can with him to an eternal hell.  Don’t let it be you.  …Continued… Thanks for visiting, following, subscribing.  Take care & be blessed.  Please also visit… www.xtreme-fire.com

Those are wise words my friend, but sometimes our emotions get the better of us and we snap. “And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh….” (Genesis 6:3). Man is sinful by nature. Therefore, we should always be on the look out for those little things that often distract us.
Excellent post my friend. God blesses.

    • Amen! Knowing our sinful nature should compel us to be watchful and prayerful… as we are not to be ignorant of the enemy’s devices. Of course, I do understand that it’s more easily said than done. Glad you enjoyed this one and thank you for your comments. Blessings!

  2. Amen amen Sharanelle!

I think that in a place fueled with complacency…people have come to a place where the lack of peace has become a daily routine and constant harrasment has become a way of life. I do not believe for one second that we should settle for such a way of life. God desires that we fight to regain our peace that surpassess all understanding and yes the devil is NOT going to let us have it without a fight. Some people get so oppressed that they just give up and decide to remain subdued…but Not in Jesus’ Name! I totally hear you on what you’re saying here. The Church needs to rise up and recognize the realities of spiritual warfare by (1)recognizing the assignment on their lives and (2) identifying that their adversary who rests not day nor night will not stop at nothing until He sees the church is subdued by his power. Praise God for the weapons of our warfare that are not carnal but a mighty through God in the pulling down of Strongholds. May the church wake up and fight for their authority over the princes of darkness in Jesus’ Name.

  3. You preach it, Sherline! We mustn’t get weary but continue to PRESS toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus! And use the weapons that are ours! Amen! Thank you for your comments… too much good stuff! Blessings, my Sis!

    Amen, God-sis….. Real truth!

  5. Paul says:

Keep the flame burning my sister. You are God’s Olympian and the devil is too slow to catch up with you!…..
