Thank You for Your Peace

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:6-7).”

God, thank you for your peace.  Sometimes all we need is the peace of God to come and fill and keep our hearts.  No matter what’s going on in the busy-ness of our day or other moments of anxiety that try to slip in and take over, we welcome Your peace.  Truly, Your peace is like no other.  Help us to remember to pray first–not last.  Settle our minds, calm our hearts and help us to continue to lean and depend upon You for our every need and in every situation.  Allow your Holy Spirit to continue to walk alongside us to help, strengthen and comfort us.  Your peace is so amazing that it goes well past the understanding.  Others can’t comprehend it and perhaps we can’t either.  But we do know that as we look back, we understand that You’re the only reason we made it through.  Help us to rest in You.  We know that you’re working on our behalf.  “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose (Rom. 8:28).”  Thank you, God.  Thanks for visiting, following, subscribing.  Take care & be blessed.

Amen, God-Sis. I truly thank God for His peace…… I love those words you said too, “Help us to remember to pray first–not last.” That’s so important……!

  2. There is nothing like the peace of God the surpassess all understanding. Prayer should be as you said “our first line of offence and defence” and it should also be a meditation that never ceases day nor night.

    God bless you!

  3. A beautiful reminder that God will give us peace for our hearts and minds. We must be of good cheer for Christ has overcome the world. With the assurance of peace when we make our requests known to God, we ought always to pray and not give up. And like you correctly said, we pray first and not last. Lovely post! More grace with work, family and church. It is well!

  4. Amen! He will keep them in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him. Thank you for your comments & encouragement. Blessings.
