“Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it (Job 1:6-7).” He hasn’t gone anywhere… he’s still walking up and down in it; and he’s “seeking whom he may devour (I Peter 5:8).”
Some people still don’t believe that the enemy, Satan, is real. Yet, they wonder why chaos, disorder and multi-level and facets of perversion run rampant in our world. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly (John 10:10).” He (Satan) has made his way into our homes, our schools, our church, our government. Indeed, his reach and influence is far and wide. This is why we are instructed to “be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. [and to] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-11).” We’re instructed to be alert, sober, vigilant. Sleeping on the job is simply not an option.
So… I beg you to be alert, naturally and spiritually, and give the enemy no place (Eph. 4:27). An old song says, “Don’t let the devil ride.” It goes on to say, “If you let him ride, he’ll try to drive. Don’t let him ride.” So true. We must box him out. How so? When we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). We don’t need to be afraid of the devil, we simply must walk with God and trust, lean and depend wholeheartedly upon Him. There is NO power that can match the power of God. *Stay tuned… I have much more to say. I’m simply setting the atmosphere. Catch you tomorrow, Lord willing.
