Stay Away from the Big, Wide Gate!

Hey!  Stay away from the big, wide gate.  It’s very dangerous!  Be careful and watch out for others that may also be hanging around it.  Don’t let them talk you into going in–there’s destruction there.  All kinds of strange people doing all sorts of strange things hang out there and will attempt to lure you and get you caught up.  Don’t be fooled–many well-known people, many educated, many arrogant, many popular go there.  Lewd, illicit, illegal and immoral activities take place there.  That wide gate is like a trap door; once you go in, it’s very difficult to get out.  It’s a long, slippery slope downward.  And since misery loves company, you won’t find much help at the bottom.  Stay away from the wide gate. I know it’s brightly colored, has false advertisements (“a winner born every 3 minutes,” “cute girls this way->” and other tales) and boasts of huge gifts and prizes (trust me, you don’t want ’em).  Take the road less traveled instead.  It may not seem as exciting but you’ll be happy in the end.  Stay on the straight and narrow.  It’s not easily found, as there aren’t many hanging around; but search diligently for it–the strait, narrow gate.

Instead, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad[is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matt. 7:13-14).”  Thanks for visiting.
