I Got A Promotion!

“For promotion [cometh] neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God [is] the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another (Ps. 75:6).”

“I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name (Rev. 3:8).”

I’m grateful for the Word of God that always provides a different, yet awesome, perspective for our life experiences.  When it seems we’re going nowhere fast, we can rely on His Word and His timing.  Know that God is the final authority on your next steps.

Sometimes we’re able to see Him orchestrate matters to ultimately make a way for us; while at other times, we miss the unfolding completely and it simply slips upon us and takes us by surprise.  It’s only when we glance backwards that we understand how God was in the mix all along and working everything for our good.  So don’t be upset when you see others collecting what you believe is your high salary or sitting in your executive office.  What God has for you, it is for you!  Sit back and watch Him work it out; but know that however He works it, it will be what’s best for you.  Also, understand that He may have something better for you than what you’re hoping for–just let Him be God.  If the promotion means you’d be totally stressed out and have no time for Him, don’t count  on it.  He will give us what we can handle.  Just know that He can do it no matter what man says.  Realize that God can place you in high places and man will simply wonder how you could have gotten there.  When we trust in Him, put Him first, remain faithful to Him, and allow Him to lead us, He’ll do great things… and I can hardly wait!

Once again, you have “nailed it”. Forwarded the link to my husband and daughter and going to post to my FB page as well. You are a blessing to me. This post was a timely reminder. It is helping me while I am “Holding On To Hope”. 🙂
