Always On Time

“We’re on time or you don’t pay!”  I wonder how many times the shuttle company has actually had to pay.  If I were a betting woman, I’d put my money on God!  He’s simply always on time.  We may not think so while we’re waiting, but He’s coming.  I’ve never known him to show up early but He’s certainly an on-time God.  Whatever it is we’re facing, know that we have a friend indeed–one who’s not only concerned but one who is able to make a difference.  He is, after all, a very present help in the time of trouble (Ps. 46:1).  On time is a very important quality.  Many times that’s half the battle, or half the criteria, in and of itself.  I’ve heard it said of employees (and may have said it myself a few times), “they don’t know much but they are always here on time.”  The good news is that God isn’t simply on time without knowing much; but He’s on time and able to ‘help a sista out!’  When Moses asked, who shall I say sent me?  God’s response was tell them, I AM THAT AM sent me unto you (Ex. 3:14).  So not only is he on time, but when He shows up, He’s whatever we need Him to be.  He doesn’t need to come and make an inspection and then return later with the correct or proper tools to do the job.  When God shows up, He’s ready to work.  Ready, willing and able and always on time!

Thank you for the reminder. His timing is always perfect and His arm is never short. An encouragement when it seems like we are waiting forever for Him to move on our behalf!

    • So true… “Perfect Timing” would have been a good title. Thank you for that and for taking the time to read this blog. And yes, while we’re tapping our feet and watching the clock, imipatiently waiting, He’s already working on our behalf! =)
