Not Even One Day of Peace…

For real?  We couldn’t have not even one full day of peace in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr?  We almost made it–festive, yet reverent, parades.  Booths with food invited many gatherers, creating camaraderie around various cuisines.  Speeches, marches, and promises to keep the dream alive were many.  All the news stories seemed positive.  This is progress.  We’re finally getting it.  We engaged in many service projects in various cities, which united different nationalities as one.  Side by side, we worked together in peace for a common purpose, serving our communities and others.  Great!  I went to sleep feeling good–only to wake to a news story of a shooting!  Really, on MLK Day?  Oh my!  Seriously, we really couldn’t have one full day of peace?  King said, ‘only love drives out hate (may be para-phrased).’  We’ve come a ways; but we’ve still got a long way to go.  We must come together as ONE–one nation UNDER God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.  Be a part of the movement to help keep or make the dream come alive!

Take care & be blessed… Please also visit…
